National pilot training: "Emotional literacy for teachers and trainers"

On 23 and 24 February 2012 in Sofia was held a National pilot training on "Emotional literacy for teachers and trainers." The pilot training was part of the planned transfer activities for the European international project EL4VET. The project is financed by the European Commission programme "Lifelong Learning" and includes partners from 8 different countries: UK, Portugal, Poland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Malta and Bulgaria (www.el4vet.eu).

The seminar by the means of theoretical presentations, combined with interactive methods (demonstrations, case studies and role plays), presented an innovative methodology developed by the UK College-City of Wolverhampton College (http://www.wolvcoll.ac.uk), that aims to increase the emotional literacy of teachers and trainers.

The products developed by College City of Wolverhampton College, were translated into Bulgarian language and adapted to social and cultural context in Bulgaria prior to the event. They were provided to all the workshop participants for free.

In the national pilot training were actively involved nearly 30 professionals (teachers, psychologists and counselors) in the field of primary and secondary education, representatives of universities and centers of informal learning.
